MICHAEL BANE

Michael Bane recently moved from Fort Worth, Texas, to Springfield where he is currently building a studio. It would be difficult to pinpoint a certain style that he paints as his work is so varied.  From highly detailed trompe l’oeil paintings to abstract to re-interpreting a Picasso or other master studies, his craftsmanship and love of creating remain constant.

“Sometimes I never know what I’m going to paint but then all of a sudden an idea occurs, and I’m off to work with a partial glimpse of the finished piece in my mind; of course, it never turns out like I pictured, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Michael has been painting for over 50 years and has had shows in Texas, New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, and London, and has collectors around the globe. His work can also be found in Carlsbad Museum of Fine Art, Longview Museum of Fine Arts, and Irving Art Center in Texas.
