3 Thoughtfully Colorful Living RoomsColby Morrell
Trying to incorporate color into your home? Let these recent projects be your inspiration!
This client came to us wanting to totally transform her home into something that reflected her family’s personality. Beyond the vibrant furniture, we decided to paint the walls purple to add that extra punch of color and excitement. We then complimented the purple with various shades of blues and green. To add another layer of color, pink accents were brought in. Because the colors are so well balanced throughout the room, it doesn’t feel busy or overloaded.
Another living room we’ve recently completed is full of color and texture. This space is home to a large family and having a space where they could all gather was most important. This project is a great example of using furniture to add color instead of paint. The walls in this space were painted in a neutral hue to balance out the vibrancy of the furniture selections. Our clients knew from the beginning that they wanted to go a bold route when it came to ordering the custom furniture and that they liked green and blue. We selected the rug with pink red, and a little bit of blue tones to pull all the colors in the room together.
This space is home to a young family of creatives. Having a home that reflects their funky personality was the most important part of this project. The living room shows off the power of mixing patterns and textures. This family knows that when you step out of your comfort zone, magic can be created! Two of our favorite elements of the room are the leopard print sofa and the bright red sofa. The rest of the room’s selections were mostly based off these two pieces. Keeping the wall color simple and the rug neutral grounds the room and pulls everything together.
